Nate refers to himself as a weekend warrior on the bicycle, but at 36 years old, his friends know that he still is one of the best riders on Lookout.  He started riding when he was about 14 years old.  At 17 years old, he got his pro license and was the state champion four times in New Jersey.  His junior team raced in the UCI World Cup.  He moved to Boulder in 2005 and was a member of the C.U. cycling team.  Nate has raced cross country in Europe, ridden in Provence and climbed Mont Ventoux.  If he could pick a city in Europe in which to live, it would be in Calpe (or Calp), Spain.  The city is on the Mediterranean south of Valencia and the temperatures in January are about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. One main reason for his preference is that there is very little automobile traffic.

Professionally, he has been a consultant for the last ten years which allows him to travel with his wife regularly.
