I was admiring both vehicles behind Stephen. Memorial Day is a good time to drive a vintage car and garner some admiring glances.  Stephen’s rig is on the right in this picture- a VW bus imported to the US the last year that Volkswagen sold buses in the US.  Stephen said that they are still for sale in Germany.  

Stephen is a Colorado native, having been born at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.  He graduated from Bear Creek High School and garnered degree in business from Mesa. He has worked in computer science since then.  

Not only does he drive a vintage car, his bicycle is a Schwinn.   And his first bike was new in 1974.  

Stephen also bragged a bit about his wife of 34 years, saying she is a good rider who enjoys finishing the Triple Bypass.  Personally, he has some Ride the Rockies to his credit- accomplished, as usual, on an old Fuji.
