Eric Chao is a man of many talents.  For starters, he built up this Cervelo bicycle himself and has finished in 100th place in the ITU World Triathlon Championship in Switzerland.  If I have this right, he is from Ontario, Canada and has many triathlete friends in Boulder. He has benefited from the coaching skills of Englishman James Barber who specializes in coaching athletes to perform well at high altitude.  Though he started his athletic career as a runner, he has progressed considerably from there.

Originally he got his undergraduate degree in film and political science with a minor in biology.  He then got a medical degree from MUA in the Caribbean.    But his medical career was blindsided by a bike accident that left him with a concussion, so he now sells real estate.

He does like to practice climbing on the mountains in Colorado, including Lookout.
