From Tuesday-
This smiling devil is about as native as a Coloradan can get. Dave Dolfinger was born at Saint Joseph’s hospital. A Machebeuf grad, Dave weighed in at 205 when he played center for the football team. In his two years at Western State, he enjoyed racquetball and played on the baseball team. Then he got more serious about his education and transferred to Northern Colorado where he met his wife, Dee. During the next three years he also earned a masters degree in psychology and learned about guidance counseling. For the next thirteen years he taught psychology at the Auraria campus of the community College of Denver. Then he became an adjunct professor at Regis college and worked as a consultant in Human Resource Management for different small companies. Dave has been cycling for the last 20 years, enjoying trips to Spain, France and Italy with Dee. Locally, he especially enjoys riding the Cherry Creek Trail. He does have a tough time keeping up with their daughter, Malia, who in addition to her duties as a pilot for Southwest Airlines and a Mom to two active children, has managed to finish two full Ironman Triathlons and one half-Ironman distance race. So Dave now has an electric bike and weighs in at a slim 155 pounds to help pace Malia during her training.
