The picture above illustrates the guardrail work that Jefferson County was working on yesterday. The traffic was light in the morning, so it was not any problem for cycling.
Unfortunately I forgot to get a picture of Tracy Madison in the Beverly Heights parking lot. He was very interesting to talk with nonetheless.
Tracy started riding to train thanks to his interest in the Ironman Triathlon. His first event was the Vineman race in northern California. Thanks to his result there, he qualified for Ironman Hawaii and in 1993 he finished the Kona course in 11:30. He also was a state (CO?) TT Cycling Champion in 2013. He thinks it was in the 35 and over category. Though he graduated from the now defunct Phoenix Institute of Technology in architectural engineering, that education led him into the IT field where he became the IT director of a mechanical engineering company.
Nice chatting with you, Tracy.
