Fifty three year old Ned is originally from Indiana. He grew up watching ‘Breaking Away’ and loading his BMX bike into the car for transportation and recreation during family vacations. He attended DePauw University, getting a degree in financial services and was not unhappy when his subsequent employer transferred him to Colorado. He is another example of a rider who has a great riding resume, but is reticent to brag about it. It took a while to learn that he had finished the Leadville 100 bike ride thirteen times. He also gave me a bit about the Snowshoe 24 hour team relay in which he helped his team podium back in the 90’s. It just goes to show that some of the quietest athletes can be the most accomplished.
Thanks for the profile, Ned.
