KAIA HOOPES and KAREN SMITH were just the tip of the Racer X group that was riding up a few days ago. The group also included Molly McNamara (on the far right in the first picture) who is one of the founders of this website. Kaia is a nurse practitioner and refers cycle racing dialogue to her racer husband Brett who went to The Colorado School of Mines and is an engineer. Karen Smith is a professor of pharmacy and has lived in Colorado for the last eleven years. She also enjoys gravel riding and cross country cycling.
