As you can see, Annie and John Hedberg ride a tandem. When I asked them about the advantages, they mentioned that they can converse as they ride and that neither has to wait for the other because they ride at the same pace on the same bike. They both agreed that it is like being on ‘an extended date’. John was or is an internist at the New West Physicians location on Union Street. In other words, he is a ‘Doc with Bright Socks’. Annie had many professions, but says that she enjoyed her teaching career the most. When I asked if they had traveled with their bicycle, they rattled off trips to Bhutan, Peru, Turkey, three visits to Italy and two trips to France. They would probably make great travel guides also.
