Few people with whom I have talked can say that they ride as much as Eric Welch. Including the miles he puts in on his stationary Zwift set up and his road bike, he pedals between 10,000 and 12,000 miles a year. For a 52 year old rider, that is quite a commitment. He started working as an auto tech, but changed his focus to helping people as a nurse at Flatirons Health and Rehabilitation. He also had a drone with him. He struck me as a person who could well have been an engineer. That comment brought a smile to his face and his mention of the auto tech career. Eric has raced his bike quite a bit, but is presently not on a team. That probably will change. He still has many good cycling miles in him.
