On our ascent we hit the problem trifecta. Five deer were grazing by the road, two on the uphill side. A car came up behind us as we pointed out the deer. At that moment a cyclist was descending from around a blind corner and he had to hug the right side of his lane to avoid the car which was in the middle of the road as we all passed at the same time.
